Walleye Fishing on the St. Louis River The Power House is a water-driven turbine electric generation station. Water is diverted through two giant pipes then through the turbines.

This is as far up-stream as we can fish on the St. Louis River. We concentrate on the current break between the main channel and the power house channel. Peak productivity at this location is from the season opener through June 1.

Walleyes can be caught with a jig and minnow or worm, trolling, or casting crank baits. This area is also productive for muskies and small mouth bass throughout the season.
