Walleye fishing upstream of the Highway 23 Bridge is not allowed for the first six days of the fishing season. The pool below the bridge is a popular walleye fishing spot that is typically crowded for the first few days of the season. One needs to be careful of the shallow rock reefs in this area. Many a prop has met its demise here.
